Brilliant card, fast write and read times. Reliable, even comes with Sandisk rescue pro file recovery software, and a little neoprene pouch. Almost indestructable card, and the only make I now use. I have 2 2Gb, 2 1Gb cards and am going to get a 4Gb one, they are the business!

Good card (I use Extreme III cards all the time) but note that this cards speed has been uprated from 20Mbits/sec to 30Mbits/sec just recently. A much better deal can be found at Picstop at the moment. You can get a 4Gb card of the new type for only £17.99!

Ive got two CF and 2 SD version and Im very satisfied with the all round performance. And for the current web prices they are extremely good value for money.

Echo the previous comments. I too use the Extreme III in my Eos 5D. Buffer speed is noticeably quicker to empty compare with a no brand card (that said the Sandisk Ultra would probably be good enough).
Current price is superb value for money. Feb 2006 I paid £80 for a 2gb card. At £17 its a steal.
Im fairly sure these wont be around for too long as the Extreme IV is now out. Get them whilst you can!

I recommend the Sandisk Extreme III Compact Flash cards to anyone with a DSLR. These are the cards I use for professional photographic work. They are fast, and made to pro standards.
I have several in varying capacities, and have never had a problem with any of them. I always format my cards before using them for anything important.
I primarily use the 2GB cards in my Canon EOS 5D, as you can fit a decent amount of RAW images on one card. I would not recommend having more than around 100 pictures on one card: a card failure or lost card becomes steadily more catastrophic the more pictures you have on the card!
Finally, these cards are astonishing value - I paid over £100 for my very first 1GB card, since then the prices have kept falling, but cannot go much lower now.
