Having looked at other lower cost 8x42 binoculars and found various problems with them, including colour fringing and not enough adjustment of interpupillary distance, I purchased these and have found them to be very good for my purposes, birds and wildlife watching mainly. They are very clear, have very little colour fringing even in extreme lighting conditions and come in a nice case. The focus ring moves very easily and smoothly allowing quick focus adjustment, they work very well while wearing spectacles if the eyepiece rubbers are left wound in and they focus as close as 2m which is another useful feature to have. The only minor gripe is that the objective lens covers tend to come off too easily, though they remain tethered to the binoculars, a fact that other reviewers have also noted elsewhere.
Overall I would highly recommend them.
