Superb performer from Nikon, 36mp and with modified Low-pass filter for enhanced sharpness (compared to the D800). Resolution and dynamic range are truly outstanding, metering and focussing are fast and reliable. Compact and lightweight compared to the D4/D3. Only negatives - you need to use the best lenses for best results, frame rate only 4fps (but up to 6fps in DX mode with the MB-D12). If you get the D800/D800e it really is essential to AF fine-tune your lenses for best possible results.
